2. How do I register for a course or find out about pricing?
Toronto Debate Academy focuses on curriculum and instruction, while our partners at Meritus Academy handle all administrative tasks. For all inquiries regarding registration, tuition fees, or enrollment, please reach out directly to Meritus Academy via email.
3. Why am I having trouble downloading the free resources?
If you are unable to access our free debate resources, it is most often due to a school board firewall blocking the download. To fix this, please ensure you are logged into a personal email account rather than a school-affiliated one before attempting the download again.
4. Can my student join a class that has already started?
Our semesters typically begin in September, January, and July.
- Experienced Students: Those with prior debate background can often join higher-level ongoing classes.
- New Students: Because debate builds on core concepts weekly, students who miss more than 3-4 classes often find it difficult to catch up.
- Mid-Semester Options: If you are eager to start before the next semester begins, we can arrange private lessons to help your student master the fundamentals. This allows them to “bridge” the gap and join an in-progress beginner class (such as BP Level 1 or JD Level 1) with confidence.
